Fox is putting the pedal to the metal when it comes to the marketing for Deadpool, starring Ryan Reynolds. Ever since the first footage dropped at Comic-Con last year, the movie has easily become one of the most anticipated of 2016. We've seen plenty of examples of a very successful marketing campaign that goes beyond just the two trailers that have been released. From Reynolds appearing in character to spend time with a group of kids dressed as the X-Men during Halloween, to celebrating his own version of the 12 Days of Christmas, Fox is making sure that you will go out to see the unconventional anti-hero next month. They've even played on the fact that they are releasing the film on Valentine's weekend, with some so-called romantic ads. And have recently gone international by celebrating Australia Day, which may or may not be a nod to the fact that Wolverine could appear in the film - that or just another chance to diss X-Men Origins: Wolverine for giving Deadpool such a poor origins story.
Now, the team at Fox is taking the Deadpool marketing campaign to a whole new level. They are doing PSAs, and now just any ordinary PSAs, but very serious ones. Check out Deadpool delivering a PSA about testicular cancer in his own informative and hilarious way. [...]
